ZTU shifter issue

The shifter on my Z won’t go into any gear. You can just move it back & forth with zero tension.
I removed the transmission cover yesterday and took these pics.
I am of the understanding that the roll pin (I tried to picture below) is likely the culprit.
But what do I need to do now so the shifter has tension and engages the rail, because right now you can just move it freely between any of them, but when you push forward.. nothing. Any ideas?
I’m happy to get better pics & info if needed.

Pin snapped off in lever?
I guess I need to go look tonight because that makes a lot of sense. Tractor doesn't run yet, but one day when I was putting the lever into gear, because I needed it in gear to adjust the clutch according to what I read, (the clutch doesn't snap over center) the lever just suddenly lost all tension while I was handling it.. So, the pin could have snapped off while I was moving it into gear. Thanks

If the pin is indeed broken and needs to be replaced. I'd need to remove it, then replace with another, what would you recommend to get the pin out, if you've messed with one before? Appreciate all help very much
First see what is broke and how much damage. second look for causes like a slide seized up on a shifter rail.

The slide isn't seized and moves freely between rails, just won't engage when you push the lever forward. All the rails and slide look to be in good shape, first time I've actually seen the transmission in the tractor and it looked really good overall too. Thanks
