Hello

My resident chef surprised me. I smelled something different out of the kitchen vent. I was blowing grass clippings, and I thought, it doesn't smell like grill cheese as promised. I was right!😀 Any guesses what is in the dish?

My Daughter and I were just talking about fried zucchini blossoms tonight, hers are blooming and I suggested a few fried ones. Our local, highfalutin, Eye-talian restaurant gets a pretty penny for the platter you showed.

Guido,

Honestly, I have never heard off fried zucchinin blossoms. How are they made....I like fresh recipes from the garden.

Dennis, you pick only the male flowers, they have a stem but no bulb. You remove the pistil because it is very hard tt digest. Fill the flower with soft mozzarella or ricotta. add olive oil to fry pan heat it and fry the flowers 2 minutes a side. When you remove the male flower from plant it helps the female flowers produce better as if they need help lol

Hello larry@stinescorner,

Here is one way: Slice them in rings, no more than 1/8,in. tick. Use a non stick pan with 1/2 butter and 1/2 oil just cover the bottom of the pan. Median to high heat. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Fry them to golden brown, but flip them often until they get that way.

Guido.
