Hi there! New to the forum. Dad has had this old tractor for a couple decades... we are now ready to restore and trying to find info. We believe we have a 1954 Farmall Super A. Engine block has the following data: 354898 R2- and the date: 3-29-Z- indicating 1954? We want to start with the engine kit we need- is it the 123cid engine kit? Any help or support out there would be FANTASTIC!!!!

I parked my 8n when it was overheated. Filled up the radaitor. Go to start ..nothing not even a sound. Battery is good . Any answers.

If you are bowing the end out of your cylinder.
Have you replaced the cylinder casting in the Past?
You must machine your old rack piston per the service bulletin.
You cant build enough pressure by blocking off the return line to break the casting!

I have a Ford 8N tractor, I bought 1 year ago, in decent shape. I use it for cutting grass and light landscaping. It has had no major issues and I always keep oil in it. Not sure what happened, but after cutting grass recently, it decided to throw an entire piston out the side of the engine with fire and other metal shards. This is scaring me from getting another similar tractor, bc I fear it cannot be trusted not to

I have had same problem with older IR 185 compressor I had to bypass the sensor at the oil separator tank and unit starts and runs fine Get a new to replace the old one and if your filter has over 1000 hrs on it replace it and oil

I just came across this PM, never saw it before. Do you still want them? These were for a TJD. The TFs are the same bore and stroke but may have used different ring sets due to number and widths. I know the THDs, depending on serial number used a different set. They're still here if you want them. I'm pretty sure I put pictures in the ad along with the applicable serial numbers.

The tachometer quit working on my MF 135. Can't seem to find a replacement that looks like the original. Is there anyone who repairs or rebuilds these tachs? The cable end spins when engine operates. Thanks for any help.
