5000 SOS update
Thought I'd bring everybody up to date on this 5000 SOS rebuild. Parts have been dribbling in from 3 different locations plus i bought a good used direct drive clutch housing from a tractor salvage yard in Canada. With new clutch discs, pressure rings and gaskets i started putting it back... -

Case 580CK
My neighbor picked up a non running 580 today. I guess it won't turn over. PO thought it had a injector leaking into the cylinder and it's hydrolocked he said. I helped him go get. Found it don't steer. Is that because it has hydraulic steering. Should be an interesting project- nashranch

Confusion on P S lines
My 1963 Ford 4000 Power Steering leaks around the steering column body where the left and right cylinders lines or maybe the areas where the body is bolted together and sealed with o rings. Belt Driven Power steering pumpi have no power steering

NO wonder I got it cheap

Friday i'm meeting up with Keith-OR in Portland to get a good head he has graciuosly given me. From the pics he sent me the casting number on his head is D3JL-6090C. 1963 Ford 4000 SOS Wiring Diagram
Somebody has had their way with the wiring on this newly purchased Ford 4000 SOS Diesel. I can hot wire the lead to the starter and make it turn over and start. 350 Utility SOLD
Sold that 350 i ressurected from the almost Dead. If you remember i bought it not running. i got it running pretty quickly for about an hour but then the cam gear came off the shaft and destroyed itself. Also the hyd. pump gear was wasted too.
