I’m thinking that maybe I’m not putting it in neutral to move.Well anything could be stuck. What have you eliminated? Need more info.
Go to the site linked below and find the Operator's Manual for your tractor. It takes a bit to figure it out, but you can view or download the OPERATOR'S MANUAL for free,I have a 2010 that been sitting for 4 plus years.
i’m trying to move it without starting.
i‘ve tried pulling it with another tractor and it will not move.
can’t find neutral Shifter on right
any help would be appreciated.
In the attached link is a clearer photo of what Jim is showing you above.2010 gear shift pattern is much simpler to understand than other JD rowcrop tractors of similar era. Be sure selector is placed in "tow position" before towing tractor very far. Tow position is between 6 & 7 speeds.

Positive to positive no matter whatStill can’t get it to move.
found manual.
trying to get it started.
just runs down battery.
cant get choke to move so working on this.
nice jd put up against engine where not easily accessible.
because it is positive ground anyone know how to hookup charger.
I’m thinking positive of charger on chassis
and negative of charger on positive post of batter.
And if boosting with another Unit (car, truck, tractor, etc.) make sure the two are not touching as contact can be made through touching metal.Positive to positive no matter what
Meaning positive polarity of battery charger to positive terminal as indicated on the machines battery. Yes, positive of charger to the chassis.Positive to positive no matter what
Positive ground would require positive battery charger clamp to chassis or positive post of battery. Negative clamp of charger to negative battery post.Still can’t get it to move.
