Messicks parts diagram Welcome to YT forums and PartsASAPThank you
Thanks so much for the tipWelcome to YT, that piece of hose is required to clean/replace the hydraulic suction filter and drain the hydraulic reservoir on the older B414, later versions had a drain on the lower right rear of the reservoir. See photo below.
If you put the rear wheels in a ditch with front end up it will minimize the loss of hydraulic oil.
The other method is to make an adapter for your shop-vac to fit in the reservoir filler plug hole behind the seat, turn on shop-vac then loosen hose clamps on the hose and slide it forward on the steel line far enough to clear the joint, then using visegrips or pliers close to the suction filter at the reservoir turn the pipe upwards until the pipe on the suction filter clears the pipe that has the hose on it. Be careful not to crush the pipe on the suction filter. As someone else posted, probably a good time to clean or replace suction filter, it will come straight out, there is only an O-ring holding it in, on the older models, newer models had a small clip on the front, bolted to the reservoir housing.

You should be able to get a short length of 7/8" hydraulic suction/return hose from a hydraulics shop reasonably. Thanks so much for the tip

Messicks.com will take you to the Site that has Parts diagrams. Start with going to "All Parts" in red to the left of the splash page/home. Choose CASEIH, Then Tractors, Then International Tractors, Then 12 up from the last entry right column, find B414, next choose the system you want to inspect, then choose the diagram specific to that. JimJim, is the parts catalog available online or for download?
Here is a link to the online one at Messicks. I'm not sure if it is a dynamic link or if it will actually work for you. You can try it. If it works, it is the same place Jim's instructions send you to. If it doesn't work, the steps Jim spelled out certainly will.Jim, is the parts catalog available online or for download?

What, exactly, is your question?View attachment 117719
This is on my b275, the little brother to the b414. Some parts actually are interchangeable. I figured it was a farmer fix like mentioned before. It's on the non pressurized side of the hydraulic pump so I can see it as being a drain or tractor split connection
