Hi.

Want to get better wheels on the front end. currently i have the standard chees cutters.

It looks like the diesel ( tef20?) have the better rims, think they are the 4.50 x 16 rims and chunker tyres? is this correct.

Read on old holden website that some guy put holden front hubs in the tea20 then used hoden rims.

Anyone done this or got some advice on a cheap solution.

also having trouble find the hydrualic lift lever lock, anyone know where to get one in Australia.

cheers

The 6.00x16 tire was optional for most of the Ferguson tractors. You can buy brand new 4.50x16 rims on eBay for less than $70.00 a piece and they ship worldwide. I'm not sure what you are calling the hydraulic lift lever lock. You mean the wedge and chain assembly that locks the control lever in place so you can't raise the lift while using the stay arms?

Watch the back side of wheel "offset" on any front wheel replacement. I have one that is 4" and gives correct clearance to the upper spindle arm attachment point, and the other is 4.5" and will make contact with 6x16 tire sidewall. I am going to replace this wheel with the correct 4" offset type, asap, using spacers now but not happy with this situation.

I mean the Stop, Hydraulic Quadrant Lever

19 inch wheels were standard, 16 inch wheels were an option for all Grey Fergy tractors.

The 16 inch wheels and Lever Stop are available from most tractor dealers that are BareCo or Sparex Dealers. Call [b:ec4c80b529]MD Machinery in Melbourne[/b:ec4c80b529] as they seem to be able to supply almost anything Grey Fergy. They also sell via EBay.

You will find the 16 inch BareCo wheels here: http://www.bareco.com.au/files-masseY2001-mf4

16 inch Sparex wheel: http://v2.ca-en.sparex.com/ItemDetails/ItemDetails.aspx?ItemNumber=40286

Lever stop from the UK - but a bit expensive: http://www.silverfoxtractorspares.com/ferguson-te20-tractor-hydraulic-lever-quadrant-stop-2nd-option-21077-p.asp

Here is a cheaper lever stop: http://www.fixthatferguson.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_9_32

Google is your friend!

hi bob.

thanks, I found the fix it fergie site for the lever stop, put at roughly $50 for postage it was a tad over the top.

Hi Bob.

No bare co do not do em and dont think sparex?? do them either. hard things to find.

I did find one second hand which was lucky..

Bob do you know an aftermarket colour code etc for the fergie grey paint.

Cheers

My t 20 fergi has higher back wheels. The guy I go t it from did that. It has little 16 in in front. It seems to be nose downward. Would like to shift bigger fronts.

Your TEA-20, manufactured in Coventry England, most likely was exported with 28" Rear Rims.
It appears your TEA-20 has MF 35 Rear Rims..24"?? as per Topic MY TE 20 with hi low
Say you are asking /commenting on a topic posted back in April 17,2014.

Yes I was thinking they were 35 rears.

They make the tractor point forward down. My front tires are 16 in
I own a 1963 MF 35 sine new.
I had to replace the front left HUB/SPINDLE assembly.
I also own several Ferguson TEA-20 parts Tractors.

The front left HUB/SPINDLE assembly from one of my TEA-20's was a direct replacement onto the 1963 MF 35.............:)

The original MF 35 Rim, was a direct fit onto the HUB/SPINDLE assembly from one of my TEA-20's...........:)

So, pick up Rims that were for a MF 35. They are wider than the TEA-20 RIMS,thus accommodating a wider and Taller Tire.
If your Tractor already has MF 35 front rims......
I run 6.00 X 16" 6 ply on the front and 14.9 -24 on the Rear.
Tractor is level.
Front left spindle is from a TEA-20.

Yes but the guy I got it from put larger back rims on. Possibly from a 135 fergi. I have 16 in fronts
What is the SIZE of your REAR TIRES/WHEEL assembly.???
24"?....26?....28"? etc,etc,
What is the size of the front TIRES? eg 7.50 x 16".......6.00 X 16.....5.50 X 16.etc,etc,

What is the size
of the REAR TIRES? eg 14.9 -24 ........"TIRE HEIGHT" becomes taller depending on the TIRE SIZE.

That is to say, the TIRE profile changes when the Tire size increase or decreases.

The outside diameter (unloaded) of a 14.9 x 24 tractor tire is
typically 48 to 49.8 inches depending on the tread style and manufacturer. This results in an outside circumference of approximately 150 to 156 inches

The dynamic rolling circumference of a 16.5/85-24 agricultural and industrial tractor tire is typically 3,837 mm (about 151 inches). Under a static (free-hanging) state, the overall outside diameter is approximately 52.2 inches (1,325 mm), which translates to an unweighted outside circumference of about 164 inches
