My brother has been at this for the last six months. A bit more paint and decals and done. He bought one with a cracked, rain filled block and one with a locked trans. 500.00 for both.

The 140 seems to be the favorite offset in Alabama. They still sell for good money. Nice project, looking good!

I was thinking of you ,G Love, as it watched him tinker with every little thing. You would have had it on the street in no time.The machine shop had the head for over a month, so that slowed him down.

WOW. My wife and I can tear a head down, clean it ,lap valves and reassemble in a couple hours. We have only worked on 2 heads that were too badly pitted for us to run. Even our valve cutter wouldn't clean it up, too much corroded away . Having a partner that you work good with makes a big difference.
