Hello Mickey, welcome to YT! Define no clutch? Does it just grind and not let you put it in gear? Did this service work involve pressure washing? If so very likely your clutch plate has rusted to the flywheel. I’ll wait to see if you agree this might be the problem before going through any methods to get it unstuck.1010 JD GAS. was running fine but noticed moisture in the tranny fluid . so i changed the hydraulic fluid in the trans only. get it all done NOW i have no clutch and or brakes..has any one ever had this problem ??? any help would be appreciated
Maybe a dumb question, but why? Due to rust?I have a JD 1010 that sat for many years. After I did an engine swap, I found the trans was locked up. Had to tear the trans apart and break apart (used a press) the gears.
I believe the 350 had either a dry clutch or a dry isolator on the flywheel. I believe there is a hydraulic valve in the reverser that works with the clutch pedal. Nothing like a 1010.Maybe the pump hasn't' primed? I think that happened on our 350 crawler once, the clutch was hydraulic on it.
I worked in a JD shop for a winter, the 350 that I had apart had 2 clutches, one for forward and one for reverse, as I remember. I think our JD 4600 works the same way.I believe the 350 had either a dry clutch or a dry isolator on the flywheel. Yes, a hydraulic forward clutch pack and a hydraulic reverse clutch pack inside the reverser. The engine flywheel had a typical dry clutch if it had the gear transmission only or an isolator in place of the clutch, if the crawler had a hydraulic reverser. The clutch pedal operates a valve in the reverser to act as a clutch for shifting gears when the crawler has the isolator on the flywheel. Nothing like his 1010, which would have a typical clutch and gear transmission. The 2600 (4600?) transmissions are more advanced than the 350 reverser as well.I worked in a JD shop for a winter, the 350 that I had apart had 2 clutches, one for forward and one for reverse, as I remember. I think our JD 2600 works the same way.
its a tractor.. so weird the clutch and brakes were working fine as i drove it too the spot i changed the fluid. i was thinking it was it had a wet clutch but i guess not.. thanks mickIs this a crawler or a tractor? If a tractor, changing the transmission fluid should have nothing to do with brakes or clutch.

yes its grinding when i try to shift it into gear kill the engine shift in to gear it it goes but cant shift it while its running all i get is grinding so maybe the clutch is stuck..Hello Mickey, welcome to YT! Don’t know that model very well but it is a possibility that the brakes need bled. Is the power steering and 3 point working, assuming it has either.
maybe i wash thinking an air pocket. maybe need to bleed it some how.. thanksMaybe the pump hasn't' primed? I think that happened on our 350 crawler once, the clutch was hydraulic on it.
no pwr steering but 3 point works fineHello Mickey, welcome to YT! Define no clutch? Does it just grind and not let you put it in gear? Did this service work involve pressure washing? Does no power steering mean it has manual steering? If the 3 point is working the pump is working.no pwr steering but 3 point works fine
