My LGT 145 needs some attention and I'm wondering if anyone on this forum can help me find parts or any information that would assist in my repairs or possibly selling the tractor. TIA jfox

Hey Foxtooth! The Ford LGT 145 is one of my favorites. What parts or information do you need? I have parts machines too. If I can help, I will!
Hey Norman thanx for reaching out, as life happens I may have already decided to just sell it, they are building 150 new homes across the road from me and I'm liquidating stock so's I can get outta Dodge. Unfortunately this lil gem has to go and I'm sure for less than it's worth. 'It' is a 145 with a Kohler 321 (what does AQS stand for?) 50" cut , front and rear PTO, I hear the rear is rare on that model, & a grader attachment for the rear. I have some pix I'll post but were taken after I pulled the deck for a new belt and washed it down. Has original patina but is missing the original seat.
I will surely pass along your name to the buyer if I can find one, so you can make parts huh? wish I knew that. My original questions related to the pulleys and belt, Also the coil, do you know, is the original oil filled DIAMOND LB 85? what is primary resistance? I get around 4ohms. The battery was just replaced, I'm waiting on a new plug and wire b4 I can start it up again. Something made it cut out while I was mowing and I towed it back to the garage. I'm leaning toward the wire. I was reading on YT forum on (i think) MAd Farmers post about his solid core wire to the spark plug was bad, and I get no reading from the multi meter through it. Thanx in advance for any help. Dont ask me why YT turns the pictures

Hi There,

I totally understand.

To answer your questions:

Yes oil filled ignition coil. Primary resistance should be between 3 and 4 ohms which yours is. You want an ignition coil that is "internally resisted."

For the plug wires, yes straight conductor plug wires are best. Also makes sure the points have continuity when closed, and they are gapped to .020" when opened at it's widest.

You have a nice machine there. Yes factory rear PTO, that factory sleeve hitch are both rare and sought after.

You got the AQS right, the "Q" stands for quiet as the engine sits on rubber mounts.

Good luck selling it! There are lots of Ford LGT fans out there. I am sure you will not need long before someone buys it.
