We got the old wreck back together and it runs good,on full choke......wife has been through the carb 3 times it's not blocked anywhere.....any other suggestions? New manifold gaskets. Also after 2 minutes or so of running the oil pressure gauge didn't move, opened the oil filter canister and the brand new filter is still bone dry. Google gave us directions to prime the oil pump, didn't help .... thoughts? Gauge works on another tractor

Sometimes a carb can be blocked so it is next to impossible to clean out and work. As for oil pressure could well be a bad oil pump or it the oil pump is driven from the distributor that can shear and cause no oil pressure

We have cleaned hundreds of carbs. If it was our first I would question our ability 😔

Did you take the oil pump apart and see if the gears move?
Might be a sheared key or too much clearance between gears and pump housing.
Pickup tube tight with no leaks?

Try it with the breather tube on?
Valve adjustment is correct?
Put a vacuum gauge on it an see if its sucking?

Just spitballing ideas
