I'm glad mine is the traditional Ford blue (although, it's getting a little faded).

Looks like a color from one of those old mattel "Hot Wheels".

Given the sparkley lettering, I'm thinking someone wanted to spice up the paint job? The Ford blue is such a classic blue, I definitely wouldn't trade it out for something darker. It's almost navy.

My 9000 was similar to that when I got it. A shop did some major work on it for my cousin and thought that it could stand some paint, so one of them just went to the local auto parts store and "got something close". A friend wanted to paint it after I had it for a few years, so I got some empire blue.
