MF 2675 Hydraulic Leak

Just bought a 1979 Massey Ferguson 2675. The previous owners said it had been sitting for a year or so, but they changed the fuel filters and jumped it and it started right up. When I went to look at it, the only other issue was some hydraulic lines leaking on the loader. Drove it around the yard, no issues. Went back the next week to drive it home. No issues, but when I stopped at the gas station to fuel it up, it was puking transmission fluid from between the engine and transmission. Hurried and finished fueling, then started driving the rest of the way home. No leak while driving! Once I got home, however, it started puking again as soon as I put it in neutral. From what I can tell, it only leaks when it’s both running and in neutral. Anybody have any idea what’s going on?

There should be a cover plate under that area with 4 short 3/4-inch cap screws holding it up. It should have a loose cotter pin (aka jiggle pine) in it that allows fluid to drain from that area, hopefully to prevent the clutch from getting oil soaked by a leak. Is that where the leak is coming from? Is so that is supposed to be a dry compartment. Remove the cover and you can look inside and possible spot the leak. Do Not reach inside it the engine is running; you can look but don't reach inside unless the engine is shut off.

It looks like the plate has been removed; the bracket for the loader is covering about half of the hole.

The fluid looks pretty clear, with maybe a yellowish/reddish tint to it. I’ll try and stick a flashlight up there and see if I can see anything
The color sounds like hydraulic fluid, the front seal of the transmission may be leaking. Some MFs have tubing for the hydraulics running through that area as well.

Got up under the tractor again and shined a light up there while the tractor was running. It wasn’t puking fluid anymore, and I couldn’t see where it had been leaking from. Looked pretty wet all over.
