Was getting a little worried

A few days ago I was getting a pain in the left side of my chest. didn't last long. Yesterday it was a sharp constant pain. Time for a doctor visit. Checked in to my local hospital. They did some tests. Three hours later I saw a doctor, He said your heart is doing ok. Chest X ray didn't show any problems, and a couple other tests looked ok. He said you can go. Today the pain is almost gone. All I can think of is, I have been putting a new roof on my wife's pigeon house, up and down a ladder lifting rolled roofing up, for a bird that doesn't even like me, His door was left open a while back he flew the coop. I thought good. A couple day later he was sitting back in his pen. Can't win. stan

I’ve had that before, I think it’s your chest muscles being sore. I’m left handed so I use that arm more, I had a pain like you describe and was also a little concerned. The pain went away in a few days though, and then I had it on the right side another time when I had been using a lot of upper body strength.

Getting old I guess, at least it wasn’t the old ticker.

Glad all turned out well. It never hurts to get things like that checked out while there is still time.

I have had that happen a few times.
It has always turned out to be muscle pain.

About 30 years ago I had chest pain. Turned out to be sore from a softball game at a work picnic between the computer programmers and the Users. I worked a desk job, but was active riding dirtbike and baling hay, but a different set of muscles swinging a bat. I never was good at "stick and ball" sports.

Good to hear the ticker checked out ok. Roofin work'll do that to ya, specially the up n down the ladder part, uses muscles ya forgot ya had. Rest up.

I had pet pigeons when I was a kid. They hung around after they were on their own.

When I died of a heart problem I din't feel pain, it was like indigestion which is a classic symptom. It turned out to be a congenital electrical disconnect problem and a pacemaker/defibrillator fixed me right up.

I have had strange pains like that, last year I sneezed and it felt like I broke some ribs! When I get checked over at the clinic everything is ok. I thought I would be sore today, split some elm yesterday, my 8-pound splitting maul bounced off sometimes! but I'm only 75, just a young pup!

You did the right thing, got checked out. Heart issues can be masked by several things.
