    Increasing hydraulic pressure on JD 2 cylinders

    Instead of messing with a different pump, can you get replacement cylinders with larger bore cheaper than a pump? This would actually be the best way to go. Or put a valve so only one side folds at a time (safely)?

    mounted picker on model B?

    Dad had a 227 (& maybe 226) on a 520, so almost. Then went to a 3010 when he got the mounted sheller in mid 70's. Ended up with a 237 before going to a small combine in 1974?. Northern Illinois. Rolling ground.

    JD 820 Thermostat Issue

    Don't know if it would be air locked around thermostat from filling? On my 830 we drilled small hole in thermostat so it wouldn't have that issue.

    348 baler strings too tight

    Take out (some) of the resistor irons from in the bale chamber. Should just be (2) 3/8 carriage bolts in each. Take one off each side at a time & try.

    double stack weight

    Aftermarket one we weighed is 160# but is not near as beefy as the JD original. GM or 2 Cyl had 320# listed for an article on weights, but can't believe that's right for just the weight. That probably includes the mount arms.?? I did find the 220# listed in a 4020 manual too, so wonder if that...
