Bern, What are thoughts regarding the cold vs hot performance of the 3-point? Do you feel it probably is a worn pump? The tractor has an unknown amount of hours and looks like the original pump. -

Hello All! Anyone know the procedure for pressure testing the transmission mounted hydraulic pump on the Ford 7710? Any special adapters or tools needed? I am experiencing 3-point lift, performance differences between cold & hot operation. Need to make sure the pump is at fault. -

I have a Ford 4500 with the 740 loader and need to add a 3rd function to power a single grapple cylinder. Any suggestions on the most cost effective approach? Does the 740 loader valve have power beyond capability? My setup has the self-leveling valve also. Thanks! -

Hydraulic pump - 1982 7710
Yes, I was afraid of that. The symptom you described about pressure when cold and lowers when hot is what I am experiencing. My 7710 has the (2) pump set up. I will look into replacing the pump. Thanks for your insight. -
