    47 B Transmission Diagram

The worst enemy of a JD B tranny is a rotary cutter (bush hog).

Looking for seed plates for duplex seed hooper

The Cole duplex plates will not fit the IH type C duplex planter. The Cole plates can be readily had. The IH plates on the other hand are not so readily available. Burch Store Tractor Parts has a few plates and there is a seller on EBay Retrocop who has a few from time to time. If you find...

    584 Hydraulics

My 3 point and SCV are slow to raise. The faster the engine runs the faster they raise. Where do I start to troubleshoot? Or just go straight to pump? I have changed fluids and filter.

    John Deere Shortages

Been on a list for a HPX with gas engine since last fall. It was supposed to be here before Christmas but then JD struck. Now maybe mid Feb. And on the filters, you will be lucky if you can get a JD branded oil or hydraulic filter. Dealer says no JD oil or hydraulic filters since last year...

JD A Final drive gear oil level

If your auto parts store will get it for you, they were designed to run 140 wt. The 80w-90 will work fine though.

JD A rear axle seals, oil , plugs

I agree. I was trying to let the gentleman know of another option that might yield the same result. Just removing the rear wheels on an A is a herculean task and not everyone is equipped to handle all the heavy parts associated with replacing these seals.

JD A rear axle seals, oil , plugs

Have you checked the rear end for condensate or rainwater? Is this a show tractor or user? I have put seals in an A before and it is not worth the trouble. Drain transmission and refill with 140wt oil and maintain at PROPER LEVEL. If maintained at proper level and not worked much seals...

    Farmall FAA question

Don't think bad of your tractor because the numbers don't match. In my area you would be lucky to find one that did. The reason being those blocks were notorious for cracking behind the carb. Around here when you see a Super A the first thing you look at is the block behind the carb. My 50...

    Deere B Carb

I don't know what your plans are for the tractor, or what your financial thoughts are, but those carbs are pretty common. I would replace the carb with one that hasn't been modified. The load nozzle is inside the stem that the threaded rod (or bolt) is coming out of. That nozzle needs to be...

Governor problems in 1935 John Deere B

Robert's carb repair used to have a video on rebuilding 2 cyl. governors. I strongly suggest purchasing that video if it is still available.
