how many bushel will a C-70 hold

Well of course it depends on the width and depth of the box too. You can figure it out. Measure how wide and deep the box is, then calculate the cubic feet and divide by the cubic feet per bushel of the grain you are hauling. And then you will know exactly. Not so hard to do!!!!!

    Farmhand Loader,

A little rust shouldn't hurt cables. You can take an old heavy rag and squirt some thick gun grease into the cloth and wipe over the cables to lubricate them and it should be good to use. Wear leather gloves because there might be a broken strand of cable here or there which can poke your...

    GOG and Banjo

John, I play guitar, but don't have it with me. I'm going to be at GOG on Sat, also maybe late Fri. Right now I'm visiting in IN. I do have a fiddle with me which I'm just learning to play. Banjo goes with fiddle too!! Ron W.

Farmhand loaders were built in Hopkins, MN but the company has long been out of business.

    no oil pressure

The cover refered to is not an oil pan cover but the crankcase cover (as wilamaybe wrote about) and it is the cover on the top of the crankcase just behind the distributor.

Trying to figure out generator system

I had a bad out-of-the-box "new" regulator a few years ago. Not likely your problem but it can happen. If the generator was rebuilt (and done correctly) that's most likely not the problen either. I'd start looking at grounds. Make sure all connections are metal to metal, not metal to thick...

    wheatland models

No that"s not a fair assupmtion. If the tractors are indeed in the same weight class, there should be very little difference (maybe no difference) between a standard and a row-crop for pulling ability. I agree with one of the other posters here that there is no difference between a so called...

    genarators

All old JD 2 cylinder 12 volt systems were POSITIVE ground from the factory. Those that have been converted from generator to alternator are switched to negative ground because, as John T said, most alternators require negative ground.

how to remove outer felt seal housing on 48 b jd?

I was told a few years ago that the outer felt seal housings can be pulled with the outer axle bearings once the bull gear has been removed from the inner end of the axle. I haven"t tried this so don"t have first hand experience that it works.

    Errors in W-6 ad

Rick in IN has a W-6 listed for sale with Farmall and Super on the side of the hood. Wrong! That tractor IS NOT a Farmall and if it"s a Super then it should say Super on the circular decal where the W-6 is. Also way over priced!

    OT (Indiana Interstate highway?)

Does anyone know if the Interstate 69 is completed in Southwestern Indiana? My 2004 map shows it as a proposed corridor from Bloomington on to the southwest. Thanks for your input.

    730d won't start

"Tougher" is used in relation to bleeding the diesel fuel system. You don't bleed a "D", it's a gas engine.

    OT (question for John T)

Is anything left of the Sarkes Tarzian electronics company in Bloomington? I interviewed for a job there in the late 60s, but didn't take it. Am planning to pass through the Bloomington area on Monday, March 10. Is there anything special to see from a tourist standpoint? Thanks. Ron in...
