    OT!! Ball Joint recommendations

    I bought mine from NAPA for my 1999 3500 Dodge. The lower replacement ball join had a grease fitting and a plug. Put the grease fitting in grease then remove and install the plug. The axle interferes with the fitting. I did all the work myself. I used one of those large ball joint C clamp...

    Rotary Cutter Conversion...

    That looks good. Should never have to worry about greasing that one. I also use what I have around to make something work. Just have to remember what it was originally from. Well done.

    Update on wheat field fire

    Our rule as a vol fireman is to park the truck in the black. I can not imagine what that must have been like to loose that many acres. Again glad no one was injured. Another rule we have is everyone goes home.

    running temp

    I did not see anything above 170 on my 620 baling hay two weeks ago. The ambinent temp was around 90. This is with a evergreen restoration gauge. Remember it holds 6 gallons of coolant.

    4x4 Differential -- vent or closed system

    When I had to replace the front wheel bearing in mine the dealer recommend gear oil. Seams like one of the assembly friendly moves to have one fluid. But I replaced mine with gear oil.
