What Good Is An Allis Chalmers B vs Farmall Cub in 2024?

I have both tractors still. The cub is 100% better at cultivating crops, not even a close comparison, but that is where the cub stops leading, everything else the Allis is far superior, like several have said, twice the tractor.

    Massey Ferguson 35 transmission

How much should a running and working 35 cost? Doesn’t have to be pretty, just useable. Thanks for the response. I kinda like that particular type of tractor.

Drive line clutch on Allis CA

The hand clutch parts are getting harder to come by every year that passes. Also people that will rebuild them are few and far between from my experience. The only parts sandy lake carries for them is the relined clutch disc and you must have a core to buy theirs. The springs and roller ball's...

    Massey Ferguson 35 transmission

I’m interested in buying a 35 that has transmission problems, the owner doesn’t know what type of problem, he bought it at auction and was told bad transmission. So I have no idea if gears are bad or if just stuck in 2 gears. Doesn’t run, but supposed to. But I can’t work on it to get it...

Thanks Tim for your reply. Im starting to think that it is fluid related, I filled the reservoir and it blew it all back out, Im starting to think that I may have a lot of air in the system or the hydraulic filter stopped up. Monday Im going to clean filter and fill to proper level. The system...

    International 2444 Hydraulic Problems

Well, I checked the valve on the right side we were talking about, I opened it up anti clockwise as far as it would go. Same problem, pump is dead headed. So I took out that valve and the plug in the center and it all looked good to me, I saw no issues or trash or sludge in either. I also...

    International 2444 Hydraulic Problems

Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. When the pump was acting like it was dead heading, that big plug you mentioned started to seep a small amount of hydraulic oil, like it was being directed there instead of the 3 point. I turned that valve on the right like a half turn, but not...

    International 2444 Hydraulic Problems

I just purchased an International 2444 at an auction. I went and looked at it twice, and they started it on either and ran it about 15 seconds both times. It ran fine, and the 3 point raised and lowered fine, and the power steering turned great. So I bought it at the auction, just for...

    Power Major

Thanks for the information. Thats exactly what I needed to know. I was worried about the fuel pump, because Ive heard stories about what you mentioned, messing the pump up by dragging them. But at least now I know that I can get parts. It looks like a beast that could pull anything...

    Power Major

Im looking at a power major that has sat 20 years in a barn covered up. It is not running but has oil pressure when pulled in high gear. No attempt has been made to start it. Owner just pulled it out of barn and drug it around to see if it had oil pressure. Owners brother , now deceased...
