Dean: What are "final drives" that you wrote about. Are you referring to the rear-end perhaps. I was under the impression that the rear-end takes 134 oil. Is this assumption incorrect or should I be using some other weight oil in my 861? Thanks. Bill -

I believe your tank has lost it's ability to vent itself. You need one of those $65 New Holland vented gas caps. Your in luck if you still have the original, dome-style cap because NH does have a free replacement program that is still in operation. I know because I recently got mine replaced... -

Talked to both the New Holland dealer and the New Holland Technical Publications operator and both said that their site has undergone a number of changes and their parts catalog has been inaccessible due to technical problems. The good news is that they are working on it. -
