    John Deere walking plow

You are correct. It does flip over to go the other way. All of it still functions and seems to have little wear on it. Thanks for the replies. I was hoping to find a year this was produced?

    John Deere walking plow

Looking for any information on this walking plow. Can't seem to find much about it online. I bought it awhile back out of Maine where it was supposed to be used on an apple orchard.

    JD 730 Thrust washer replacement

Thanks for the replies. I figured it was going to be about that much fun. I do have both the JD and IT service manuals. I haven't dug them out to look at anything yet. This is a new to me tractor and it has Probably been run this way for a long time if I was to guess and that's why I'm sure both...

    JD 730 Thrust washer replacement

I'm getting ready to replace thrust washers on a 730 diesel. Has the original flywheel that is tight. Just looking for some insight on this job before I start it. Does the governor have to come off? I know the timing cover does but can I get to the inner thrust washer? Thanks

Another JD LA question. Engine block.

Just checked and mine is L4210T. Guess I learned something new today. What is a good source for pistons?

Another JD LA question. Engine block.

I have an early LA I'm getting ready to restore mechanically. It's the 23rd built and needs and engine overhaul. My question is I'm not sure if I have the right block or not. Most everyone I see has the freeze plug on left side of block. Mine does not. Parts book only shows one block for all...

John Deere LA wheel and weight questions .

I have a few questions regarding wheels and weights on early JD LA. Looking through some old photos of L and LA tractors I notice the front wheels on some don't have the bolt holes for front mounted wheels weights. Does anyone know when this change was made? Also the rear wheel weights. I notice...

    Loader on two cylinder tractors

Here is a Kelly 800 on my 730. Pic was taken this past weekend. I posted on here a few months ago looking for a loader for my 730. Found a couple of the JD 48 with the universal mounts but for a little more money I found this and it hasn't seen decades of abuse. Not the most friendly to...

Perfect Jim. I had the wiring diagram from the parts book but the diagram is very unclear. Thanks again. Aaron

1967 John Deere 4020 light switch wiring.

Tx Jim. I just put a light switch in a 66 4020 Diesel. Mine has been converted to 12volt too. I have a brown wire that I am unsure of where it goes. It comes out of the same harness an appears like it would go to the light switch. Do you know which terminal that goes on? Parts book doesn't list...

    Tires for 39 JD B

HI all. Im looking for suggestions on tires for a 39 JD B. Tire size is 11.2-36 to go on factory flats. I have not been able to find a supplier with the straight 45 degree tread. I see titan used to make one but it seems as though they are discontinued. Does anyone have any suggestions or leads...
