    J.D. Stock

Remember, it went to $92 before it went to less than $25. I don't know where the price is going, but the PEG ratio is 2.25, which means the "investor" expects(?) the price to increase at 2.25 times the increase in earnings. That can't be sustained forever. If you want to own the stock and...

    Confused ebay seller...

I like that idea. Handedness disappears if the mirror image of the casting would show up. I'm thinking about a mounting between the threshing (cylinder)unit and the seprator (seives).

    Ventilator pump questions

I suspect these were designed to not move oil, only vapor. Is there an oil return from the roller case to the gov case? If they moved any appreciable amount of oil, either the air cleaner would soon overflow, or the interior of the carb would be well oiled. I can't remember which side of the...

    Confused ebay seller...

I'm guessing the two aligning flanges (3rd frame) are about 4" apart. The direction of travel when in use was L to R in the first frame and R to L in the third frame. I am suggesting this is the mounting for a tongue for a horse drawn implement. The pins between the mounting holes I suspect...

Worm gear lubricant/steam cylinder oil in JD tranny

Being an optimist, I would suspect that that it was designed for a steam engine, i.e some affinity for water. The last thing I would leave in a tranny for the next 20 years. Some steam fan (WMSTR) would probably pay real money for it and you could buy some 140 wt. Thats my top of the head...

John Deere STX38 mover will not engage

I am assuming you have an electric clutch as per my 111. When it it was warm from use you had to be at 1/2 throttle or above for it to engage. I tightened the free space to specs and it engages at lower throttle settings. My 318 is starting to be have the same way.

730 brakes overheating going down hills.

First, if you are heating the brakes you are in too(!) a high(!) a gear and scaring the bejabbers out of your customers. Second, either your carburator or engine (or both) need rebuilding. Further, without much thought (We are getting ready to go see the grandkids, and I am shirking my packing...

    Rear Tires For '49 G

My guess it that your tractor came with 12 x 38, 11 x 38 was the only thing I saw on A's of that period, and 10's were common for B's. I would go with 13.6's which unless I am getting foggy of mind would correspont to 12 x 38.
