    Does anyone know if there was ever a bulliten on sleeve protrusion for the 4-270 perkins. Having head gasket sealing issues ...bubbles in the rad.

    Does anyone know a source for a head gasket and upper head gasket set for a 1961 560 Cockshutt.. I can t read the engine tag but I think it s a 4-270 Perkins in it??

    I d be curious to know if you have time to check that out some time. I was thinking with the 570 super being a larger displacement it would require more fuel somehow so something would be different.

    The lines fit they are the same.. so would the 570 super just use larger injector tips?

    Yes Psb6a pumps.. the tag on the governor housing is the same on both but the tag in the hydraulic head is missing off of the one so didn t know for sure if they are the same.. different displacement engines so I wasn t sure if the pumps could be swapped.

    Well I tried 28 .. no luck .. still puking fuel And missing so took injectors to a "better" injection shop.. turns out one was stuck and the other five have the wrong tips in them.. wrong spray angle . They were supposed to be redone live and learn the hard way I guess.. thanks for the advice

    So I have a dd298 Hercules in a 570 Cockshutt .. noticing when assembling it the oil holes in the rocker arms never line up with the holes drilled in the rocker shaft.. the bushings aren t groves to make them ever line up either .. and upon running it I don t seem to be getting oil past the...

    I checked timing last night initially it was out .. 32 degrees .. hardly started .. lots of knock . Reset to 26 .. starts good now idles .. but go to speed up and it breaks apart and misses I might pull the head off the pump
