    I have a 68 Ford 2000 158 gas. Is there supposed to be any springs on carb. When governor kicks in the rpms go up and down 2-3 times before engine smoothes back out. I believe the linkage to be installed correctly as in my IT manual. There was a spring on there when i tore the engine down but...

    Hi all, I worked my 1950 M this weekend and still the temp does not come up above 130 on my brand new gauge. What does this mean to me, is my thermostat stuck open?     M Alternator belt.

    Hi all, I have been searching this site for a post I thought I remembered about a standard alt belt for my M. I thought I read that there was a belt I could pick up from the local auto store. Does anyone remember this or do you know what the size might be? Thanks, Andy

    Still alternator troubles.

    Have you ever seen your pick up charge at 16 volts though?? So it's ok to only read 12 volts on the meter? If it is, I'll happily let this go :) Andy

    I connected up my "M's" alernator accordning to this site's diagrams. All was well, we were charging at 14 volts and I was happy. Then, I see we are reading 16 volts on the meter. After that it now reads consistently 12 volts. Can anyone tell me why I would get up to reading 16 volts? Also...
