1650 input shaft.
Just wanted to update this and say I got it all fixed up and running again. The trans cover ended up being about 40lbs...no cherry picker reqd. Lol didnt realize that until I went to put it back on and was sliding it around on some Wood blocks. Lifting the rear of the motor worked fine...- BackhoeID

Yes sir that is correct. They are in fact worn and what the issue is here. Its too bad one of the newer version couplers like we received wasnt available in the bigger size that we need. . Few weeks back when we ordered the input shaft we also ordered a new coupler and seal. Today when my dad received the package the sprocket isnt the right size. Assume its for the 2-78 or the farm tractors. It fits the splines and even has the correct tooth count. Just smaller in diameter. Cant...- BackhoeID

Made some good progress today: Rest of sheet metal removed. Tank removed. Radiator removed. Hydraulic system drained. Snap ring removed shouldve left it in oh well very minor. My Dad ordered parts from maibach. Shaft pounded forward just far enough to be free of bearings. Engine...- BackhoeID

fter looking at pictures of new shafts online I have determined the shaft must go out the front. The gears Etc cannot make it over the shaft. Im going to get creative with the cherry picker and lift the back of the motor a few inches.- BackhoeID

Just got the cover off today with a cherry picker. Took some photos and am currently making a two hour trip to pick up a 1 3/4 socket because the biggest Ive got is 1 1/2. After I get the nut off the shaft Ill pull the snap ring off the rear bearing. I envy those who have regular tractors...- BackhoeID
