    1937 f20 starting

I have a 1937 f20 that I have been trying to start. It has a rebuilt carb, reworked head, and a mag that seems to work. I can get it started with ether for about 4 seconds, but it runs very fast like a jet engine and dies. Tired of cranking and cannot pull due to various reasons (flat tires...

    1937 f20 water tank

Thanks for the advice! I'll have to take the plate somewhere to bore the hole because I don't have a cutting torch or milling equipment but that's no problem.

    1937 f20 water tank

Sounds like a good fix. How thick do you think the pipe should be? It has to connect to 2 hose and I was wondering if 2 exhaust pipe would be a good choice or is that too thin walled? What would you use? Thanks!

    1937 f20 water tank

I bought an f20 that had partial restoration in progress. The water tank has been re-cored, cleaned and sealed but the top and bottom flanges that connect to the hoses were missing. I've searched the internet for these fittings but no luck. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on how to...

    f20 oil

What kind of oil should i put into my 1937 F20? I've had the head restored but the rest of the engine is untouched because it looks pretty good. I'm ready to crank it over and don't want to cause any damage by using the wrong oil. Thanks!!

    1937 f20 head

probably a dumb question, but I am curious as to how the valve rail/train on an F20 head is lubricated? I know you have to prime the pans prior to starting and the wicks lubricate the rail. I can't see any way the oil is replenished after running. Is the prime supposed to last throughout a day...
