    4440 quad range 2 speed is backwards

    Ok I check part #28.... when viewed from in front of rear tire, it is in the 8 o clock position..... with the tractor in 1st gear, #28 is in a rearward position. When shifted to 2nd, it moves down and forward more like a 7 o clock position. Is this right??

    4440 quad range 2 speed is backwards

    I bought a 4440 quad range. Guy said he had somebody work on 2 speed. Now it shifts backward (1 is 2, 2 is 1.....3 is 4, 4 is 3). He said he lived with it that way for several years. I would like to put it back correctly. What could possibly be wrong? Thanks

    What are the differences in a RD 450 block vs RD 501? I heard something about cam location and 450 is sleeved where 501 is not. Are they the same height? Do they use the same oil pan (making the crankcase width the same at the pan rails)? Also, are the cylinder head the same? And lastly...

    removing stubborn tires

    We use to use the down pressure of a fast hitch to break them down before I bought a hydraulic bead breaker. Just lay tire on the ground with part of the tire under the fast hitch drawbar. Edge of a Loader buckets work too. Brian

    lightweight fuel tank

    Are they a completely lookalike or are they open on bottom? Do you use stock gas cap or is a lookalike cap already molded in place?

    Farmall H block height

    Put end maincap on without bearing. Measure the bore of it and divide that number by 2. Use 16" or larger caliper and measure from top of crankshaft bore to top edge of block. Add both numbers together.

    Found The Rare H For My Collection 53 With Disk Brakes

    Randy, Guess i better not make a puller out of it then....oh well....got a few others to pick from. not sure if the crops are ripening or just dieing from lack of rain. Some guys are shelling corn already...ones I talked to moisture in the mid 20's. How are crops your way?
