I should've marked the relative positions of the 4 lines (2 lift and 2 curl lines) to the 4 connections on the valve box.     I'm glad to see your reply. That was my first inclination. I'm older than this very old disc and I thought by doing that it would outlast me. Now, all I need to do is remove the inner bearing. The axle is surface is so pitted and rough it seems I'm going to have to beak or cut it off. Thanks,

    I keep the old JD 4020 in barn w/o electricity. It's used infrequently, sometimes not started for several weeks. I've just switched from two 12 volt batts in parallel circuit to a single, 31 series batt. I'm considering a solar powered maintainer and looking for input on positives/negatives.

    Yeah, I did use "Tow" position. :) OK, I'll be checking the pressure reading. BTW, the lift arms appear to be working normally, though I haven't tried 'em with any load on 'em.
