    I have a MF 50, serial #514420. This is the pressure plate, there seems to be several choices for this tractor. This one is fairly expensive, is there any other choices that would replace it?     Thanks for the info. One of the clutch cover levers came loose, pin must have fell out, and was flopping around in there. Didnt seem to damage anything else. Was able to screw the bolt out and remove the damaged arm so tractor runs and drives now but the clutch doesnt disengage. Looks like...

    I was mowing hay today with a sickle mower, stepped on the clutch and it made a heck of a racket in the clutch area. Shut it off quick but something definitely came apart. What happened? Did the clutch blow up?

    76 4430 powershift makes a loud growling noise most noticeable in 8th gear and only when you pull the throttle back to slow down quickly. If you slow down gradually it wont do it. Thanks

    Well after 35 years of running these tractors I finally did it. Left my1370 in reverse while running an auger. How long does it take to damage something and how will I know if I have damaged it? Thanks

    Hand clutch

    Thanks, I got it working once it was properly adjusted. Just like you said, the lever pulls backward. Pretty happy with the way it works, should work good on a small square baler this fall.

    I took it apart, clutch plates were stuck together. Looks like it disengages by pushing or pulling and centers itself in the middle where it’s engaged.?
