Case 580 Super N Shuttle Shifts Real Hard

Unfortunately i couldnt find anything in the service manual about adjustments for harder or softer engagement. There are troubleshooting steps to check pressures if shuttle is not engaging properly.

Case 580 Super N Shuttle Shifts Real Hard

Thinking about it further I am not sure if a higher or lower viscosity hydraulic transmission fluid would change how hard it shifts. My first thought was higher viscosity fluid would cause hard shift but now I'm wondering if lower viscosity fluid would cause a quicker shift because the fluid...

Case 580 Super N Shuttle Shifts Real Hard

I purchased a 2015 Case 580 Super N a couple of months ago. I noticed when shifting the shuttle from forward to reverse or reverse to forward in first or second gear it engaged the drive train with quite a hard jerk and the machine would start to mover forward or backward at a fairly good speed...

    International 574 Hydraulic Problems

Thanks for the info JimB2 - I will try what you suggest with the MCV. Just for interest this afternoon I started it up - ran for a few minutes and no light at low idle. I partially engaged the Pto lever so the low pressure light comes on as it always does - I assume the valve is dumping some of...

    International 574 Hydraulic Problems

I have a 574 International Tractor - my father bought it new so it has been in the family a long time. It has the TA (torque amplifier) option which gives you an on the go high low speed change with a hydraulic clutch. Last year the hydraulic low pressure light would flash on and off when the...

New Holland TL90A Tractor Loader Bucket Wont Dump

I have a New Holland TL90A Tractor with 825TL Loader. Occasionally when I raise the loader fairly high and roll the bucket all the way back the bucket hydraulics seem to jam in the fully rolled back position. If I try to roll the bucket forward to dump it will move a little and then stop. The...

    Huhn

I just purchased a Kuhn Haybob - the seller advertised it as a Haybob 300 but when I picked it up I see it is different from all the Haybob 300 pictures I see online. It has a PTO shaft running between the two baskets instead of a rigid tube that I see in all the pictures online of the 300...

Case 580SM King Pin Bushing Replacement

I pulled the king pins on the front axle of my Case 580SM 4WD Backhoe to replace the U Joints. While I have the king pins out to remove the steering knuckles and get access to the axles and U Joints I decided to replace the king pin bushings. The upper one looks lie a straight bushing...

Case 580 M Front Axle U Joint Replacement

I decided to go ahead and order the replacement upper and lower king pin bushings and belleville washers. Any suggestions on best way to remove the old bushings that are pressed in end of the axle housing ?

Case 580 M Front Axle U Joint Replacement

There are no shims on mine - I expect they may have been removed in the past to reduce clearance. I have the service manual but there doesn't seem to be any info on shimming the steering swivel to the axle housing. Mine has the Carraro axle with the 4 bolt king pin flanges. I think some have a...

Case 580 M Front Axle U Joint Replacement

There were no shims on the top or bottom king pin - just the bevel washers between the top and bottom of the swivel and the axle - so no option to remove shims to reduce any excess clearance.

Case 580 M Front Axle U Joint Replacement

Thanks for the reply - I was able to get it apart today - pulled the planetary cover and removed the axle snap ring and then removed the king pins. Top ones didnt take too long to get out with hammer and various size chisels to wedge under the flange. Lower ones took quite a bit longer but got...

Case 580 M Front Axle U Joint Replacement

I have to replace the front axle U joints on my Case 580SM that I use on my farm. I have a a couple of questions on doing this repair. 1. If I remove the upper and lower king pins and the tie rod end from the Planetary drive / Hub assembly can the entire assembly be removed from the axle...
