    cast iron centers

My serial number is 100541, not that much off of yours. I've had it about 6 years. It was rough and needed a gear in the trans, complete clutch assembly and some motor and carb work. I've done nothing to it cosmetically, but I did manage to get it running very well. The pulling thing happened...

    cast iron centers

Well, actually I was going to ask you that next. I pulled with it a month ago for the first time. Becouse of the cast iron wheels I got dumped in the 4000lb. class with the Oliver 70s and so on. Tractors with double my HP aren't fun to play with. By removing one cast iron wheel I would go down a...

    cast iron centers

That was a lot of trouble you went to and I really appreciate it. What I was trying to do was remove about 200 lbs. from my tractor. I have the cast iron centers on it now. It weighs 3850 with me on it, I'm 175, and I'm trying to get it closer to 3500 lbs. Its not easy changing tires on it as...

    Wheels

I have a 41 B with the 12 spline axle and cast wheels. I was wondering if there is a replacement for the cast iron wheel that would be considerably lighter. My rim is 38 inches. I'm trying to lighten the tractor while keeping my 38 inch tires since they're like new.

    Wheels n seats

I really appreciate the pic and the info. I don't believe the seat would be aftermarket, the brackets are much to well made. It was not a cheap bolt on and it was made for the N series tractors for sure. As for the wheels, that is good info thank you guys very much.

    Wheels n seats

I recently bought a 47 2n parts tractor for my 44 restoration. The seat on the parts tractor has a coil spring and shock absorber style that is much nicer than my 44 seat. I would rather use this seat but I'm not sure when or why Ford began using them. Also the rear wheels are much different. the...

    Flathead conversion

I'm hoping there's a few others out there that have done flathead V8 conversions on a 2N. My problem is the front support for the steer axle will not clear the crank pulley. It misses by about a quarter inch keeping the support from bolting up to the engine cradle. My first thought is that the...
