I broke one of the leveling yokes on my 706(don't ask how it's a long story  ). Is there any trick to getting the threaded part out of the yoke ? Thanks for the help! Brian

I'm going to be back on again occasionally as I finally got a new computer after my previous one blew the hard drive. Also had a lot of back problems as well. :D

    Winter project

Got a project for winter, have to pull the head on my uncle's WD9(he bought it new, ordered it while he was in the army and it was waiting for him at the local dealer when he got out at the end of the WWII). Warped starting valve. This will be first time head is off since he overhauled it in...

    WD9 valve cover gasket

Does anyone know where I can get a valve cover gasket for a WD9 at or maybe some cork material to make one? I checked Stieners and their cork pieces they have in the catalog are too short to make one. Thanks, Brian

    881 FINISHED

Finally finished repairs on the 881 today by installing a rest-o-ride seat! So nice to have a seat with suspension on it! Did a lot of work on it but she's been kind of neglected for a lot of years. Thanks to LarryNCKS and JiminNM for the parts and seat. Brian

    881 getting closer to finished

This one isn't even a restoration, just some long overdue maintenance. Hope everything goes well with your back surgery. I'm suppose to have 1-5 lumbars fused but I'm not doing it till absolutely necessary. Actually that part of my back bothers the least. The upper part of my back has...

    881 getting closer to finished

Got the fenders and loader frames back on yesterday. Worked on getting the red tail light and rear work light functioning( I think that's the first time the tail light has been on since 1960). Putting her on the dyno tomorrow for a bit and give the bands a final adjustment. Next week the...

    881 D fuel tank

Tank is back on, NO LEAKS(so far). Had it running today for a bit, adjusted the brakes, packed wheel bearings. Going to try and get fenders and loader brackets back on Thursday. Going to work it on the dyno Saturday and then re-check trans bands. Brian

    881 D fuel tank

Got the tank back today. The guy couldn't believe it was leaking worse than before he fixed it. He then said he thought he pressure tested it, but wasn't sure if the air was on in his testing hose......Guess it was a senior brain fart moment. lol Brian

    Rest o ride seat

My cousin is kind of looking for a rest-o-ride seat to put back on the 881. I know they're darned expensive to refurbish. Just throwing it out there if anybody has one in ok shape and reasonably priced? Thanks, Brian

    881 D fuel tank

Hi Larry, My o-ring kit is resistant. Tank is leaking where it was cracked and repaired. So the guy has to do it again. Hopefully he gets it this time! Brian
