    thanks for the help guys. Finally got back to working on it. It was a bad connection on ammeter. It had melted the plastic around it from being loose. Replace gage and wire. Now up and running.

    Yes choking it helps. It just seems to load up when choke is about half way out. maybe less.

    Bruce, you wouldnt happen to know the length of the stabilizer bars would you. they are cheap ones from TSC. They may have fit because the originals where so wore out. the ball in the end will just about fall out of the socket.brian
