    JD 3130 with loader

What do you guys think of a JD 3130 loader tractor? I don't have a lot of work for it but would like to upgrade from my MF35 with manual steering. Do you think $10K is too much for it...in fairly good shape with 5K hours. Thanks.

    Score

The Americans gave us all we could handle and then some. I'm sure glad we won but the Team USA has nothing to feel bad about. They are also a good team that didn't give up. Congrats to you as well.

    MF35 Manifold stud

In the first picture, this is where I'm going to install a new manifold on a MF35. The top left stud came out when I removed it and should be a little farther in. I put a nut on it and turned it in but the stud came out again. Any ideas on getting the stud tighter without ruining the threads...

    Bad Weather

Is anyone in Nebraska or Kansas getting a lot of snow now? It looks like a big storm is in the mid-west.

    OT-2 stroke oil ratio

I came across the same thing with my chain saw....Stiehl said to use 50:1 but other 2 stroke references are 25:1. Since 1 gallon is 128 ozs. and I have the original 2 oz. oil bottle from Stiehl I just fill the bottle and then give a little more to be safe. This way its around 40:1 or so.

    Clutch pedal disengaged

I have a New Holland LS55 20 HP Kohler riding mower that I was cleaning when I noticed the clutch pedal moves all the way back and forward. Also, I noticed a pin about 1/4 inch in diameter and 3 inches long on the cutting deck. It looks like something became disengaged...I'm taking the deck off...

Won't start but not starter problem

I have a 2000 LS55 New Holland with a CVS20 Kohler engine (343 hrs). Its driving me nuts because for months I thought I had a battery or starter problem. When I go to start it I just hear click...like the battery is dead. I replaced the battery but didn't help. Then mysteriously it would start...

    Brake Springs

This is the hub of a '61 MF35. What is a good way to remove the blue brake springs if you don't have the right pliers? Thanks. They don't look stiff but they are on tight.

    Brake springs

I'm replacing the brakes on my '61 MF35 but don't have any spring pliers. These springs seem pretty hard to get off....is there a trick to removing these blue springs or should I get a special tool to remove. The hold down springs are easier to move but are still aggravating. Any tips are...

    Manifold

I have a '62 MF35 and would like to replace the manifold. I can see where there could be issues with the bolts being stubborn to remove. The last thing I want is trying to remove a broken bolt or re-threading. Would it be reasonable to assume that if I soked the bolts down real good for a week...

    JD 50 description

There is an auction coming up that includes a JD 50, and along with the narrow front end and 12.4 38 rears, there is "R&P axle-bare back" in the description. What does that refer to....no 3 point hitch? Also, do think $2500 is enough to take her home? It looks in average shape and I just want...

    Question on jump starting

Would it make a difference if the positive cable was connected right on the terminal where the battery connects to the starter and the negative grounded to the frame? That is, skip the battery and hook right to the starter.
