Clutch pulley wear on two cylinder tractors

When the clutch is not engaged, the clutch bearing is not getting lubricated because the oil slinger is not slinging any oil.

1951 JD A (parade tractor only) engine oil change questi

Loosen the drain plug carefully until you get a drip. Catch it on your finger. See if it's water or oil. If water, let it drip until oil comes out and button her up. Be careful and don't let the plug fall out. Maybe put a bucket under it for safety.

    G clutch again....

If you used an after market pully brake pad, they are too thick. I had the same problem on a J D 70. If there is too much wear on the sleeve the clutch will start to engage when you pull the clutch lever back. You can check that by pulling back on the lever when the pully is stopped and see if...

    A clutch problems

    A clutch problems

To start with you can check the thickness of the discs to see if they are in spec. Check the sliding sleeve to make sure it is not going over center. If it does, the clutch will start to drive again when you pull the clutch lever back. Look at the dog bones to see if they are out of round on...

    JD Model 50 won't start

Are you running a mag or a distributer? If a mag, will it start if you pull it. If it does, could be a weak impulse spring in the mag. Also, could be a bad condenser. This can all be checked by looking at the spark at the plug. The tractor is not firing so if it's not getting too much...

Engine Rebuild 1947 John Deere model D

Sounds to me like they need to put the rod and cap together without the bearing and check to see if the bore is round. I would bet it's not.
