    oil from breather cap

    check and see if there is crankcase vent and see if it is pluged(mud dobbers,etc).

    6 volt lights

    my 49 8n had no lights, it is 6 volts, postive ground. i just got a set of lights off a 8n 6 volt. they only have one wire coming out of them.do i hook it the positve or neg side of the battery?

    as a base trade-in just for the tractor. 1080-1780$ used retail 3180-3830$ this info from tractor blue book 2005 edition. time are tough so it would take some time to get these prices.
