1948 Cockshutt 30 flywheel Ring Gear
Has anyone ever changed one of these out? How difficult is it to get to and what are the steps? I have dead spots and it is very annoying to advance manually each time. Thanks- Brutus45

Great thanks for the photo. I just have the inside chains. I like the outside chain idea. How is it attached below the axle? Do you still purchase the brackets in the photo you sent. Those square u-bolts are expensive too and I would need one on each side as I only have one on each fender... -

Thanks. I have a new filter and all is cleaned. I checked all fuel lines and blew out so those are clean. When I get pump installed again I will see what happens this time. Hopefully it will run under load as I am not sure what else to do -

I think it can be done but will mark it and try it. I would like to turn the gears and make sure dot on pump drive gear matches up with mating gear before I put together. The tractor was running ok but when idling rpm would slowly start dropping or increasing. When going up a hill or running the... -

Sputtering after warming up and stalls
Hi Phil. I have purchased a lot of parts from you in the past. The coil checked out on a volt meter. I am getting good spark at the points. I will purchase a new coil and spark plugs as that is rather inexpensive and see how that does.- Brutus45
