    12 Volt Tractor cab heater?

Good idea but they are rarely practical as others have stated. If you used an engine block heater it would be a win, win win. The engine would start much easier, suffer less wear and burn less fuel. The starter, alternator and batteries will last longer too. Cab heat would be nearly instant...

    Loader for 2040-S

Doesn't tell us if it's a three cylinder small chassis or the larger chassis four cylinder turbo? For reasons unknown both sizes of tractors ended up with the same numbers. It makes a world of difference for which loader fits and works better. The Europe models get the "S".

    435 rebuild

All those questions have been covered here a dozen or so times in past posts. C injectors, N sleeves and pistons, new vales and seats, don't grind them. Grinding lowers the compression and makes starting difficult. Cam follower springs and valve springs have been updated by DD.Blower seal...

    3020 Overhaul/noisy hydraulic pump

As previously stated. If the front pump has a reliable supply of oil from the trans pump. Odds are it's either the pump drive coupling. Or just the stroke control valve/seat. Neither are a huge job or require, a serious teardown or pump removal. The IT manual makes a good protective cover to...

    Mirage on the road

True. From what I read of the report Jim was in behind the semi and missed seeing the signs. He should have known however that the RR track was there. Everybody crosses it twice a day to & from work. Probably what lulled everybody's attention was the fact a train only used that crossing 4-5...

    430 PTO

People say those 1850rpm direct drive Dubuques exist but they were just for a handful of industrial applications. Apparently one could order a 20 or 30 series Dubuque with 1000rpm pto. Never see one of those either.

The Almighty gave us free will. We can choose jump into harms way, and lots of people do. If it's raining outside. It's up to you not the Almighty for choosing to put on a rain coat when it's raining and getting wet or not. Taking no responsibility for our actions and saying it's God's...

    JD 50 motor work

How deep are your pockets and how much HP do you want to make? A good running 50 can spin out in 1st gear in the 5500 & 6500b class no problem. First three things to make distance down the track before adding HP is. Traction, traction and traction...

    1020 hydraulic trouble

Sorry but the previous owner got rid of a tractor that requires brake disks, brake shoes.Perhaps as well a pto brake, pto clutch and high/low shift clutch pack. Considering what it's worth and how full of metal shavings. It maybe cheaper to scrap the tractor.
