Jim, I see what you are saying now. I had never seen the firing order set forth that way before. Your number display just threw me off. Thanks.

    Another Cub Won't Start CSC

Are you sure you have that firing order right? I think it is 1342. No. 1 is marked on the distributor cap and, as you say, the rotor turns around clockwise inside the cap as one faces the outside "top" of the cap.

    wire sleeving

The sleeves are available at the suggested places. They work like the old chinese fingerlocks where the sleeve material is woven or braided so it collapses when it is pulled or stretched and opens when it is pushed together.

    Recommendations for non-iso painting

I have two Cubs that need painting. I have limited experience in painting and am not qualified to use the iso hardeners. Obviously, I am not interested in show room quality but I would like to do the best job possible. I have the two set HF HVLP gun set. What is your recommendation for the...

Once you are sure you have number 1 on the compression stroke, TDC can be nailed down by positioning the TDC mark on the crank pull opposite the pointed timing post.

    Overflow tube

If it is a pressurized system, the overflow needs to be in the radiator neck above the spring seal on the radiator cap. Even in non-pressurized systems, I would place the overflow as high as possible.
