Oliver 77 Standard Spindles . . .
Just to fill out the thread for a future member with similar questions . . . the rivet does in fact, go all the way through the axle beam and was peened over on the back side. Paint was fooling me. The peened portion cut neatly off with a sharp cold chisel. It took a LOT of heat to remove...- chuckh_02

Oliver 77 Standard Spindles . . .
Working on replacing the spindle bushings on my 77. Several internet searches have not yielded any information! I was able to get the welch plugs out, but to remove the spindle pins, there is a rivet driven into a blind hold that engages a relief cut in the pin. How in the He** do you get that...- chuckh_02

Sean, that's what I originally thought . . . but I thought I read a post here that said if the clutch rod were in the short position, the PTO clutch was disabled? That must not be correct then -

New to me Ford 850 - at least that's what the Engine block says. It is the 5-speed transmission, and when I ran a brush hog, it overran when clutching and pushed me a little - as expected. So, doing an oil change yesterday, I noticed a few things, the cylinder head is blue - a replacement...
