    How do you know you are at Top dead center when timing a tractor without taking the engine apart? I can find DC on the flywheel, but can't tell where the number 1 cylinder is on the stroke.

    Yes. I use them every time I try to start it. 30 seconds above 50 degrees, 60 seconds above 32, and 90 seconds below 32. And, yes they have been working ok before this happened.

    I have been busy with harvest for a few months and just got back to working on my 2010 diesel. Tried to tow it as suggested, but got no where. Couldn't get any fuel to the injectors. Took the injection pump off and it's drive shaft was broke. Driveshafts NLA from deere and no salvage yards...

    2010 not starting

    Thanks guys. Tried that last night with no success.. There's fuel to the front of the pump. I can crank until the battery dies with no fuel coming out the injector lines. Hope its not the pump. Any other ideas? Thanks.

    My 2010 diesel died a few weeks ago. Fuel filters were plugged. I got new filters but broke the clamp on the bottom of the filter cans twice. Found a newer style filter manifold with the glass square glass filter. Put the new one on and can't get it to start back up. What screw do I need to...

    ID JD running gear?

    I recently purchased a running gear like this. It is leaking grease out of the seal on the back side of the passenger front tire. Doesn't appear to be a grease fitting for that. Does the dust cap just knock off or something different? And, can you still get seals for those? Thanks, Cory

    2010

    There are many things I don't like about mine, but it keeps on plugging along and hasn't died yet. Who thought it was a good idea to have you 'glow-plug' a tractor when its 80 degrees out or when it's already warmed up? It takes 2-3 tries to start it in the summer, and 5-6 tries in the winter...

    stupid plow question

    Thanks for the responses. It is rubber tired with spoke rims with a solid steel rear wheel. I have adjusted the spring on the hitch that holds it down. I guess it just needs more tension. Can I just add grease to the wheel clutch zerks or does it need to come apart?

    I got an old plow given to me the other day and having trouble getting it to operate well. Its a 2 bottom. It says 'No. 16 Frame' on the side of the frame. Its a rope trip, pull type. Can anyone give me some advice on operating it properly? When I pull the rope to trip it to raise back up...

    plow question

    I have a weight box for my loader, so i dont think there is fluid in the tires. And, yes the tires wont move in unless the loader is removed. Its a 46A loader attached to the rear axle. Thanks for the response, Paul. Its also in another state, which is why i am asking before i make the trip...
