    4020 transmission weight

Hi everyone, I posted a while back with my new to me JD600. I'd like to put a pto and 3pt on her. I found a complete powershift transmission with the control console. I'll post a picture if it will let me. My question is, how much do you think those parts weigh? I looked it up in the parts...

    My New Old JD600

Tx Jim, It does have the front support, it doesn't have a drawbar mounted but it has the regular drawbar support.

    My New Old JD600

I'll post as I progress. I know I might be being nave or optimistic, but when I look at the parts it looks like the rock shaft assembly fits where the cover on top is. Same with the PTO, where the housing would be it's just blanked off with a plate bolted on. Before I bought it I saw the thread...

    Who unloads the tractor?

Thanks all! Driver asked me if I wanted to do it and I told him all the insurance was on his end so it made more sense for him to do it. Turns out it was a bear to get it started, but once it started he drove it right off no problem.

    Who unloads the tractor?

I have a dumb question, I looked through the first 10 pages or so and didn't see an answer. When my tractor shows up on the truck/trailer, who has to actually drive it off? Me or the driver?

Allis 160 - First Time Buyer

Thanks for the comments folks. It turned out I didn't even get a chance to look at it and with the vibe I got from the seller I'm feeling a little like I dodged a bullet.

Allis 160 - First Time Buyer

Hi all, Long time listener, first time caller. I found an Allis 160, year and hours unknown, about an hour drive away. They say it runs but it needs a battery and the 3pt arms "don't work". They're asking $1200. I've read on here about the 160s losing prime in the hydraulics so I'm hoping...
