JD GM oil drain plug removal
Got it out...PB Blaster, tapped with small hammer from underneath and all 4 sides repeatedly. Had a worn 12pt 5/8 socket that I drove on the plug and my 30 yr old son broke it loose with a 1/2" breaker bar. Looked like it had some kind of pipe cement or loc-tight on it. Thanks for the suggestions.- Danny Boy

51 JD A carb issue
I had checked for air leaks in carb mount bolts/gasket and also had clear intake. I thought I had plenty of hot spark all way to plugs via ign switch and wiring, but will check again. Thanks- Danny Boy

New float & needle valve working properly. Having reviewed all searched forum topics on late model A with DLTX-71, no suggestions/recommendations have solved my problem. This tractor starts on first turn of flywheel with a little choke...but immediately begins hunting-flooding cycle regardless...- Danny Boy

What is best replacement carb available for Ford Jubilee? It currently has Marvel-Schebler. I want one ready to bolt on and go for summer tractor shows...tired of trying to make the original work. -

DRAINING COOLANT/ANTIFREEZE
In pre 1950 2 cylinder JDs, is it best to drain antifreeze for long-term winter storage or leave in at adequate concentration? Does draining the cooling system via plug on bottom of lower water pipe empty all water jackets, ports, channels, etc? Thanks- Danny Boy

Small leak sealer
K&W sealers are the best out there. Available in "pour & use" version that mixes with coolant for smaller leaks or "drain & use" version for big jobs. I have stopped minor head gasket leaks on JD 2cyl by re-torqueing heads and adding a can of the pour & use sealer to coolant...then let it heat...- Danny Boy
