    MF 2607 heats up

It was the radiator...so much for dealer flush. IMO the engine radiator is not big enough and is located in a tough place to reach for adequate clean out. Several other cooler/radiator units stacked in front of it. Thanks

    MF 2607 heats up

Just took water pump apart...impeller perfect (no broken fins, no slippage on shaft) channels on both sides of pump clear and clean. Guess its got to be the radiator?

    MF 2607 heats up

Factory belt with proper tension...strong air flow. I guess its down to radiator or water pump.

    MF 2607 heats up

Gauge goes to the red after 20 min or so in light duty...will cool down intermittently with cool water sprayed on radiator, then right back up. Have--removed thermostat, checked water pump (belt tension/no leaks/no squeaks/good flow), coolant full, radiator cap good, cleaned radiator well many...

    MF 2607 heats up

JD GM oil drain plug removal

Got it out...PB Blaster, tapped with small hammer from underneath and all 4 sides repeatedly. Had a worn 12pt 5/8 socket that I drove on the plug and my 30 yr old son broke it loose with a 1/2" breaker bar. Looked like it had some kind of pipe cement or loc-tight on it. Thanks for the suggestions.

    51 JD A carb issue

I had checked for air leaks in carb mount bolts/gasket and also had clear intake. I thought I had plenty of hot spark all way to plugs via ign switch and wiring, but will check again. Thanks

    51 JD A carb issue

New float & needle valve working properly. Having reviewed all searched forum topics on late model A with DLTX-71, no suggestions/recommendations have solved my problem. This tractor starts on first turn of flywheel with a little choke...but immediately begins hunting-flooding cycle regardless...

    51 JD A carb issue

I know this is an old story, but couldn't find a solution in searches. I have a 51 A with DLTX-71 carb that ran/started great until last year. Started running rougher, with governor hunting then surging so I rebuilt carb and put points/plugs in late last summer. When I put it back together, it...
