    We had this injector pump rebuilt and it is, indeed, a Perkins, as the Ford tractor is an industrial version, not the agricultural one. Would the timing procedures you mentioned still apply to the Perkins?

    starter motor will not stop running

    i had something similar happen to my ih 3588 it was caused by trying to start the tractor with a weak battery i believe they called it low voltage engage or something like that where the starter solenoid engages but wont release due to low voltage passing through
