    146 Farm Loader control valve replacement

    Thanks for all your replies. The local JD dealer fixed one of the bucket rams that was dripping. The others haven't dripped at all. They told me it they thought it was the loader control valve. Thats what I was going with. Now I can see some additional things Im going to need to check out.

    I have a JD 2020 HU with the JD146 loader and the two spool control valve. The local JD dealer got me the o-ring kit for the valve, but no instructions. How do you guys suggest I start this repair, just disconnect the handles and pull the spools out? Is there some way I should bleed off...

    1801 serial number location

    I have looked and looked, and can not find a serial number anywhere. Even the Ford/NH dealer can't find one. Anyone have any suggestions? It has the cast front with headlights, HD loader.

    2020 diff lock

    The diff lock on my 2020 doesn't move. I can't engage it. It is a lever/handel that moves sideways. I have never used it, now I need it to push snow in the winter. Does anyone have a suggestion?
