    hydraulic system

Yea, I thought about one good cyl would hold it up. I will check each one. May rebuild both. But It don't make sense that it would stay up with plugs in the cyls, but not with the lines on with bran new spool valve. I did notice when I removed the plugs pressure build up was a lot more in one...

    hydraulic system

The bucket on my tractor would not stay rotated up. The loader its self would stay up, but the bucket would rotate down into the dump position. So I removed the lower lines on the bucket cylinders and put plugs in the cyls and lifted the loader and it stayed up. So I replaced the valve body...

    hydraulic system

Tractor is JD 2630 with a 145 loader. I have changed the hyd fluid & filter and replaced the valve body and six hoses for the loader, including the long ones from the remote and back to the filter. How should I work the air out of the system? Should I leave one or two lines loose up front and...

    OT--Trailer Brakes

I have a semi trailer that I use for storage and I want to move it forward a few feet. There are two air fittings on the front of it, one says service and I think the other says emergency, best I remember. I can get an air line to it from my shop compressor. If I tap into the service line and...

    spool valves

Are the control valves on front end loaders rebuildable? Do they have O-rings in them that you can replace and hopefully fix a leaky valve or do you just have to buy a whole new setup?

    Hyd problems

Well, howdy neighbor!! Centerville huh? I lived in McMinnville until I'z about 14 (1975) we use to go up to your neck of the woods for some fishing and to some restaraunt that had awesome catfish. I still have some kinfolk around those parts. I live in Bradley county now.

    Hyd problems

I've studied it a bit more and found that the loader will stay up even with the tractor turned off. But the bucket will not, it rotates downward as if you were dumping. And it will continue all of the way to where it's hanging straight down. The cyl rams are rust free and don't have any groves...

    Hyd problems

On this 2630 that I just bought, the bucket cylinders leak down letting the bucket roll down...and it happens pretty quick, you pretty much have to keep the lever pulled to keep it rolled up. One of the lines was dripping so I replaced it, but it didn't help. So I guess it would be the spool...

    New 2630 Loader ID help

It is a 145 then. Is that good? It seems to be built pretty strong and is in good shape. It has a leaky line that I'll replace later today (bucket won't stay tilted up) other than that everything is working fine so far. Thanks!! DD

    New 2630 Loader ID help

Well, I am the proud new owner of a JD 2630. I get to try it out for the first time today by moving around and burning some tree tops and brush...and I can hardly wait. I feel like a kid at Christmas :) This is my first JD, I've had a little Ford 2000 since 1975. I've been like the biker dude...

    Tractor unloading safety!

I went trailer surfing for about fiftey feet about a month ago. I was parked on a gravel drive with a slight hill and went to load a ford 2000 and I went for a ride!! Luckily I gathered my thoughts soon enough to put the tractor in reverse and back back off of the trailer and my truck missed a...
