Ford 3000 - Hydraulic pump pressure side tubing/seal replacement

No. The pre-bent tube came without any other parts. I bought the nuts/seals separately.

Ford 3000 - Hydraulic pump pressure side tubing/seal replacement

Thanks for replying. I bought a new tube. It has a smooth surface with no "indent". That's my question. When using new seals and tubing, does tightening down the nut create the "indent" with the steel ring, "washer"?

Ford 3000 - Hydraulic pump pressure side tubing/seal replacement

I'm replacing the pressure side feed line on the hydraulic pump (1971 Ford 3000) with new tubing and seals. The old tubing has thin steel rings 'seated/crimped' into the tubing to keep the tubing in place when the tubing end/seals are installed in the pump and also on the other end. By looking...

    quick question - drain plug

Thank you sir. I was hoping it was the other way around. The rear plug is bunged up pretty good - will have to try a pipe wrench on it...Thanks again.

    quick question - drain plug

Thanks. Both of these share the same fluid right? It looks like the two regions are 'connected' but there is a 'hump' between them that requires both plugs to be removed to completely drain? The "operators manual" describes the "rear axle and hydraulic lift system" as requiring 25.2 quarts. So I...

    quick question - drain plug

Ford 3000, 1971. Trying to change the fluid for the hydraulics. There are what looks like two potential drain plugs. One is back further on the differential housing, a square 9/16 plug that has been beat to death and another one near the front that is a large nut (> 1 inch). In the Messick's...

    identify engine?

Have any comment about my posting the numbers identifying it as a "gas" tractor? I am no expert on tractors. I would be interested in hearing opinions from those who are more knowledgeable...

    identify engine?

If you look at the "model" number on the tag I posted it reads " C1023C". The book says that the "C" is for 3000 series, "10" for agriculture use", "2" for "gas", "3" for "live pto", and "C' for "8 speed".

    identify engine?

Bought a 71 ford 3000. It was a gas tractor originally but was fitted with a New Holland diesel at some point. The seller failed to disclose this info. Now I don't know what I have and I'm trying to find parts for it. I have attached two pictures. Can someone identify what engine this might be...

    hydraulic pump pressure tube/seal

Got a pressure leak on my pump (1971 3000). From what I'm hearing, you need to replace the entire tube. Looked on Messicks and found two parts listed for part "68". 1) DONNH867A w/10 speed 2) 84272024 L/10 speed (replaces part DONNH867D). Two questions: It doesn't say if this includes seals and...

leak from pressure side of hydraulic pump on Ford 3000

Starting to have all kinds of problems on this used tractor I bought. Anyway, now it's the hydraulic pump. I searched the archives and found nothing. I looked at online diagrams and they don't really help much. As stated, leaking around the pressure fitting. I took the fitting loose and it is...

Question about ROPS mounting Ford 3000

Thanks. So, the bottom picture shows that the bar is mounted 'straddling' the factory holes. Is this the way it was done at the factory? This is what I've seen on a few others. On my 3000, those 2 holes are used to mount the fender. I was thinking the roll bare might use those same holes to...
