    Farmall m differential problem

    Tore into my farmall m and when the transmission and differential are spinning the bull gears do not turn. I believe the problem is the differential. I do not know much about these but if the problem was one the bull pinions then the shaft would have to be snapped in order to make it not move...

    Farmall m transmission bearing part numbers

    My M is having problems in the rear end so i took the top off to see what was wrong and ive decided while i am in there i just as well put new bearings on the main shaft and counter shaft. Is there anyone who has a list of the bearing numbers i can order from a part store?

    We backed it off the incline and it coasts and brakes fine. Transmission is confirmed turning in all gears but makes abnormal grumble in 5th gear.

    I did a bad job of explaining that it wont move. It doesn’t labor or bog when you let off the clutch it just acts like its in nuetral whrn the transmission is in any gear

    It was cold where im at but I did a bad job of explaining myself when i said it wont move. You can put it in gear and let off the clutch and nothing happens. No laboring or bogging it just acts like its in nuetral but its in gear.

    I dont think the welding itself caused this problem it was just what i moved the tractor to do. When i say it wont move you can put the tractor in any gear and let out on the clutch and it doesnt labor the engine or try to move. Transmission feels normal, no flopping. I did not try engaging it...

    I have an earlier model farmall m that i use for pulling a rake and loading hay with. I built a new hay spear setup for it and i pulled it up to the shop to do some welding to make it fit and when i was done i put the tractor in gear to move and it wont. I replaced the clutch about a year ago...

    I read on another forum that the line between the filters and the injector pump on a 966 must be the case ih part number 688190c1 hose to dampen the pulsation from the injector pump or it will ruin the head seals on the pump. This tractor has a hydraulic hose instead and not the case ih hose...

    A friend of mine bought a farmall H that has a super m live pump that has been added before the distributor to run the loader. He took the loader off because the cylinders need rebuilt. Should the live pump be taken off as well or would it burn it up if the lines to it were just capped?
