    LA Case Sleeves

Brett, 4 3/4" is common on the Case LA Propane. Try Agkits.com . They might have them and if they don't maybe they can refer you to someone who does. There are a lot of places to look. ---Derrol in Texas---

    propane radiant heater

Greg, Just happened to see your post. I own one of these double burner heaters, too. These heaters are good, but you need to know that fuel burning heaters and stoves use up the oxygen in a closed room. You must let some air in from outside from time to time. We have prairie fires here in the...

one of my Christmas presents I got early

Case Nutty, You're gonna have to look around on your place to find a bigger Christmas Tree for that present to fit under. Very nice for sure. A Merry Christmas to you and all those who watch you and your toys and this Case web site. God Bless and remember "...He is a rewarder of them that...

    Help diagnosing / adjusting carb? 1967 Case 441 w/ 4 cyl 148

Mark, Sometimes the shaft that supports the butterfly gets worn to the extent that it lets air come in around it too much. When this happens, the idle screw doesn't do much good and the engine will not idle. In that case you need to replace the butterfly shaft. Also any other vacuum leak will...

    Trailer stolen

There was a trailer stolen here North of Amarillo,Texas and the Highway Patrolman on I-40 west of Amarillo caught it with a lot of stolen stuff on board. These Mexicans were headed for California with it, but did not hook up the lights. That is how they got caught. You should file the theft with...

    Pic. Prefect Morning.

Out here in the Panhandle of Texas there are no woods where we can go cut firewood, the good stuff that is. This is prairie country. The good firewood is normally hauled from Oklahoma. We pay $300 per cord and they bring a (short cord) or about 3/4 of a cord. We feel cheated, but because we use...

    51 LA Case on propane

zach, The propane regulator that I use on my Case LAs is the BEAM 120A. If you find that the old one is bad and you need a replacement, the Beam 120A regulator will work really good for you. I just this Fall finished a 1951 Case LA Propane with right and left disc brakes. My other one is a '48...

    Celebrity picture

redgems,You are having entirely too much fun. But that's how it is when you drive a Case LA, now isn't it. Looking sharp, and if we could get those two old geezers out of the way, that would be a great picture of a great tractor. LOL ---Derrol in Texas---

    Good Deal/Bad Deal

Caseman, I dearly love it when someone rescues a Case tractor. There have been too many taken to the crusher. If you do a full restore on that 930 it will make a beautiful tractor. I have three Case LAs, two that I've restored and one to go. The biggest obstacle these days is buying the rear...

    case dc

Sounds like you have the front of the engine apart. You would need to align the dot of the camshaft with the dot on the crankshaft. I am not familiar with the DC so I'm not sure what is there, but most engines have the marks pointing at each other. Maybe someone out there has more info on it...

Rusty Cooling System on 51 DC

Drain the cooling system, remove the head. Let the block dry out inside, then with a vacuum cleaner and some 1/2 inch copper tubing, vacuum out the dry rust flakes that are in the block. Can see best to do it at night with a flashlight. I have done this to two Case LAs and it works. Never run...

    Tired Old Case 600 PIC

That tractor has a lot going for it. Most of it is there and it looks better than some I have started with to restore. Yeah, fix that one for it has a lot to give yet. Would make a beautiful parade tractor for sure. You just have to have the vision and determination to get it done.---Derrol in...
